I write as a way of journaling my reflections. I also write as a way of sharing my thoughts and passing on my experiences – the truth I discovered, the truth I applied, and the benefits I reaped – as a startup founder.
- Discover the Truth
Discovery is the inspiration of living. Learning to discover is the perspiration. I write to share the first principle truths, ideas, and experiences I have learnt. I will write about everything that is personally life-changing and worthwhile to pass on.
- Apply it
Truth doesn’t change life. It is truth applied that changes life. Truth can be insightful and inspiring. But without action, it is powerless. I only write about the truth I have applied. In other words, I only write about what I know and do. I do not write Entrepreneur porn. You should not be reading entrepreneur porn as well.
- Reap the Benefits
The truths I am sharing through my writing are authentic because the benefits of these truths are first-hand experiences and gains of mine. I only share what I have practised.
This truth has always rung true for me:
“What I hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. What I do, I understand. What I understand, I change.”
It is what I apply that brings about real understanding and real transformation.
- Pass it on
I believe in the compounding effects of writing and learning. It is my desire to share what I learnt to the future generations of entrepreneurs. I will keep on discovering the truth, applying the truth, reaping the benefit, so that I can pass on everything I learnt to the next generation.
